8th Grade Math: Today in math students reviewed adding and subtracting like and unlike fractions. We then graded the section 5.4 worksheet on multiplying fractions, and determined that we needed extra practice on the subject. So, today was spent practicing multiplying fractions and mixed numbers.
Assignments: Review HW #7 is due on Wednesday.
7th Grade Math: Today students began class by using their flashmasters. We then moved back into chapter 5 and reviewed customary units of measure, before introducing the 5.6 and converting customary units. After some teacher led instruction, Mr. Olsen led students through several examples problems.

Science: Today in science, students were informed of the expectations regarding the Bikini Bottom Spongebob Genetic Project we have been working on for the past few weeks. Students were handed a scoring guide today in science, outlining for students Mr. Olsen's expectations regarding the final product, which will be due either at the end of class on Friday or first thing Monday.
Assignments: Students should be planning out their final project for the Spongebob project. They should be coming to class on Tuesday with a materials list that they will need in produce their final product.
