8th Grade Math: Today in math students began class with the Problem of the Day.  Next, students continued learning more about prime and composite numbers.  Students today were introduced to another method of finding the GCF by using the prime factorization of the numbers or monomials in question.  Students also learned how to identify relatively prime numbers.  After some teacher led instruction, and several examples, students were assigned the section 4.2 worksheet as homework, to be due Wednesday in class.   Student can expect a quiz on Wednesday as well.  

Assignments:  Review Homework #33 is due Wednesday in class.  The section 4.2 worksheet is due Wednesday in class. 

7th Grade Math: Today in math students began class with their flashmasters.  Next, students continued the conversation on prime and composite numbers.  Today students were learning how to find the GCF (greatest common factor) of two or more numbers by using the prime factorization of each number. Students also learned how to identify relatively prime numbers.  After some teacher led instruction, and several examples, students were assigned the section 4.2 worksheet as homework, to be due Wednesday in class.   Student can expect a quiz on Wednesday as well.

Science: Students began class with the Do Now.  Next, students jumped back into the text book, as we began learning about genotypes, phenotypes and punnett squares.  We read the section of the book that introduced these concepts, and students engaged in thoughtful discussions about how geneticists use these concepts in predicting the probability of a possible genetic outcome.
