Algebra I: Today in math students began class with a Do Now and a warm up problem.  Next, students went over our homework from the weekend in the practice workbook pages 1-3.  Students were then solving one step equations using inverse operations.  After some teacher led instruction and several example problems, students were assigned some homework from the text book, pages 8-9 #1-38, to be due on Friday morning in class.

Taku students will be MAPs testing for the next three mornings, so the next algebra class is scheduled for Friday.  Students can expect a quiz on one step equations, as well as a lesson on solving multi-step equations.

Assignments: Students were assigned some homework from the textbook, page 8-9 #1-38 all, to be due on Friday in class.

7th Grade Math: Students began class with the Do Now, and a problem of the day.  Next, students were working through a measurement and estimation activity of items around the school.  Students were also assigned an integers homework packet which will be due on Friday in class.

Assignments:  Review Homework #2 is due on Friday in class.  The integer packet is also due on Friday in class.

Science:  Today in science, students began class with the Do Now.  Next, students began working with and learning about compasses.  After some teacher led instruction on the purpose of a compass and how to properly use one, students were handed a compass and a worksheet, and given the remaining class time to explore the compass and complete a few activities that were meant to help bring some clarity of how to use a compass.

Assignments: None.
