8th Grade Math:  Today in math students began class with the problem of the day.  Next, students jumped back into chapter 3.   We began talking about solving inequalities using multiplication and division.    Students were introduced to the properties of multiplication and division, and solving inequalities.  And Mr. Olsen led students through a few example problems before we ran out of time.

Assignments:   Students have been assigned to have their parents/guardians sign their progress reports and bring them back by Tuesday December 13th.

7th Grade Math:  Today in math students began class by using their flashmasters.  Next, students took the second quiz of chapter 3.  The test for chapter 3 is scheduled for either next Wednesday or Thursday.

Assignments:   Students have been assigned to have their parents/guardians sign their progress reports and bring them back by Tuesday December 13th.

Science:  Today in science, students participated in a water chemistry lab.  Students were asked to bring in water samples from around their homes to test here at school.  Students were testing the water samples for dissolved oxygen, pH and temperature of at least three different samples.  Students filled in a worksheet as they worked and were asked to make comparisons between at least two or three different samples.

Assignments:  Students have been assigned to have their parents/guardians sign their progress reports and bring them back by Tuesday December 13th.

FYI:  Parents!  Starting on Monday (10/31, the first day of the second quarter), teachers in the Aurora house will no longer accept late work from our students.  Students will get credit for the work they do, when it is due.
