8th Grade Math:  Today in math students began class with the Do Now.  Students then jumped back into chapter 3 and are learning about how to find the interior and exterior angles of triangles.  Students went over the homework from the weekend, and then we answered several questions posed by students, before they were assigned some problems out of the book to help solidify their understanding of the concept. Students were given the last 15 minutes of class time to begin working on the homework assignment, pages 114-115 # 1-3; 8-14 evens; and 15-21 odds are due Wednesday in class.

Assignments:  Review Homework #31 is due Thursday in class.  Problems from the text book, pages 114-115, #1-3; 8-14 evens; and 15-21 odds are due Wednesday in class.

7th Grade Math:  Today in math students began class with the Do Now.  Students spent today's class period learning about and working with the slope of lines.  Students felt we needed some more practice working with the activities that had students graphing proportional relationships.  After some teacher led instruction and guidance, students were then asked to complete workbook pages 80 & 81 for class on Wednesday.

Assignments:  Review Homework #31 is due Thursday in class.  Workbook pages 80 & 81 are due Wednesday in class.

Science:  Today in science, students began class with the Do Now.  Students then transitioned back into chemistry.  Today, students reviewed what and how Ethos, Pathos and Logos are and how they are used within advertisements.  Students were then introduced to the next science project, Selling the Elements.  Students were assigned and element from the periodic table at random, and they will be responsible for creating an advertisement to sell that element to a specific target audience based on the uses of that element in the real world.

Assignments:  None.  Students can begin researching their assigned element if they so choose.
