Algebra I: Today in math students began class with a Do Now and a set of warm up problems.  Next, students reviewed the concepts of working with negative and zero exponents, before being introduced to the ideas of multiplying and dividing powers.  After some teacher led instruction and several examples, students were assigned the section 6.1 Practice A worksheet, to be due Wednesday in class.

7th Grade Math: Today in math students began class with their flashmaster activities. Students then jumped back into chapter 5 and finding ratios, rates and unit rates.  After some teacher led instruction and several examples, students were given some class time to begin working on a ratio worksheet, which will be due on Wednesday in class.

Assignments:  Review Homework #29 is due on Wednesday in class.  The ratio worksheet students began in class is due Wednesday.

Science:  Today in science, students began class with the Do Now.  Next, students were introduced to the compound microscope.  Students spent some time identifying the parts of a microscope by completing a worksheet and using a text book to help them correctly identify the parts, before taking some notes on the history of microscopes and how they are used.
