Algebra I: Students began class with the Do Now and the Problem of the Day.  We then jumped into chapter 8 and continued our discussion of graphing quadratic functions.  Today students were learning how the bx and the c term in f(x) = ax(2) + bx + c affects the graph of the parent function.   After a bit of teacher led instruction and several example problems, students were assigned some homework from the textbook, page 436-437 #3-6; 7; 9; 11; 12; 13-17 odds; 21-25 odds and 29, to be due on Wednesday in class.

Assignments:  Students were assigned some homework from the textbook, page 436-437 #3-6; 7; 9; 11; 12; 13-17 odds; 21-25 odds and 29, to be due on Wednesday in class.

7th Grade Math: Students began class with the Do Now and the problem of the day.  Next, students were introduced to a 4th quarter short term learning goal.  Students will be responsible for learning and memorizing 17 commonly used fractions and their decimal and percent equivalents.  April 13th is the date of the test for this short term learning goal.  We also spent some class time going over sample questions to help students prepare for the upcoming PEAKs assessment scheduled for next week.

Assignments: Review HW #48 is due on Wednesday in class.  Students should be coming into class on Wednesday with their fraction, decimal and percent equivalents completed.

Science:  Students began class with the Do Now, before students completed an open note quiz on Ionic and Covalent bonds.

Assignments: None.
