Algebra I: Students began class with the Do Now and the Problem of the Day.  Students were then introduced to chapter 10 and square root functions.  Students explored what the parent function of a square root function looks like on a graph, and we continued describing the transformations of the parent function.  Students were also finding average rates of change of a square root function.  After some teacher led instruction and several examples, students were assigned the section 10.1 Practice B worksheet (evens only) and practice workbook pages 317-318, the section 10.3 explorations, to be due on Thursday in class.

7th Grade Math: Students began class with the Do Now and the problem of the day.  Next, students were introduced to the Isometric Dream House project.  Mr. Olsen led students through a quick lesson, identifying the differences between oblique and isometric perspectives.  Students then used the rest of the class period to begin brainstorming ideas for their dream house on isometric dot paper.

Assignments:  Review Homework #59 is due on Thursday in class.  

Science:  No class today due to MAPs testing.

Assignments: Students should be working on their Newton's Laws of Motion comic strips, that are due on May 15th.
