Algebra I: Today in math students began class with a Do Now and a warm up problem.  Next, students were working with chapter 6 and reviewing the rules of and use of exponents.  Today, after grading our homework from the Monday's class (TB p. 329 #3-12; 13-17odds; 38-40) students were introduced to geometric sequences.  After a bit of teacher led instruction, and a few example problems, students were assigned the section 6.6 practice workbook explorations, WB pages 193-195, and page 196 #1-9, to be due on Wednesday in class.

Students can expect the Chapter 6 test on Thursday afternoon, after the morning field trip to the play.

7th Grade Math: Students began class with the Do Now, Flashmasters and/or the Problem of the Day.  Next, students were then continuing to simplify expressions, as well as identifying terms of an expressions and like terms of the expression.  After some teacher led instruction and several example problems, students were assigned practice workbook page 46, to be due on Wednesday in class.

Assignments:  Review HW #35 is due on Wednesday in class.  Students were assigned practice workbook page 46, to be due on Wednesday in class.

Science:  Students began science class today with the Do Now.  Next, students reviewed cell organelles, including the functions of specific organelles as well as identifying the locations of each organelle within a cell.  Students were then defining several key vocabulary words, before we read chapter 1 section 3 on the Chemical Compounds in Cells together as a class.

Assignments:  None.
