Algebra I: Students began math class with the Do Now and the Problem of the Day. Next, students jumped back into chapter 4. Today students reviewed the arithmetic sequence equation and how to use it before we jumped into section 4.7 on piecewise functions. We worked through the practice workbook explorations together in class, and after some teacher led instruction and several examples, students were assigned some work from the practice workbook, page 129, to be due on Wednesday in class.

7th Grade Math: Students began math class with the Do Now and a problem of the day. Next, students were continuing to work with simplifying expressions by identifying the terms of an expression before combining like terms and using the distributive property before simplifying. Today, students were learning how to find greatest common factors of linear expressions. After some teacher led instruction and several examples, students ended class by completing a factoring expressions worksheet.
Assignments: Review Homework #22 is due Wednesday in class.
Science: Students began class by connecting with their partner from the Periods of Earth research project we completed last week. Student groups then completed the process of presenting their group research to their class mates.
