8th Grade Math:  Today in math students began class with the problem of the day.  Next, students took the chapter 4 math test.

Assignments:    Review homework #6 is due on Wednesday.

7th Grade Math:  Today in math students began class by using their flashmasters.  Next, students jumped back into chapter four.  We moved back into section 4.6 on comparing and ordering fractions and mixed numbers.  Students reviewed the definitions for a proper fraction, an improper fraction and how to convert each into the other.  Students were then given about 30 minutes of class time to complete the 4.6 worksheet.

Assignments:   Review homework #6 is due on Wednesday.  Students should be completing the 4.6 worksheet if they did not complete it in the class time provided.

Science:  Today in science, students began class with the Do Now.  Next, students participated in an activity where all students in Mr. Olsen's and Mr. White's science classes will build an advertisement based on the element selected during a house wide drawing.   We then continued our discussion on Ethos, Logos and Pathos in advertising.  Our activity today involved defining a target audience and having a plan on how to sell your product.

Assignments:     None.

FYI:  Parents!  Starting on Monday (10/31, the first day of the second quarter), teachers in the Aurora house will no longer accept late work from our students.  Students will get credit for the work they do, when it is due.
