7th Grade Math:  Today in math students began class with the problem of the day, before students continued learning about scientific notation, product form and standard form.  Students were able to ask questions and work on some concepts related to scientific notation in class, before we began our review process to prepare for the upcoming Chapter 4 test on Thursday of this week.

Assignments:   Completing Review Homework #21 on Study Island is due by the end of the day on Wednesday.  Students can expect the Chapter 4 Test on Thursday.

8th Grade Math:  Today in math students began class with their flashmasters.  Next, students are continuing to review chapter 2 material.  Today we finished up our distributive property review, and students were assigned 12 problems to complete as homework.

Assignments:   Completing Review HW #23 on Study Island is due by the end of school on Wednesday.   Students also have 12 problems on the distributive property to complete by Wednesday in class.

Science:  Today in science, students began class with the Do Now.  Students continued researching their assigned body system.  Students are learning everything they can about an assigned body system and they will then present their findings to their classmates in order to "teach" their assigned body system.

Assignments:  Students can be working on completing their assigned Body System Checklist for class on Friday.

FYI:  Parents!  Starting on Monday (10/22, the first day of the second quarter), teachers in the Aurora house will no longer accept late work from our students.  Students will get credit for the work they do, when it is due.
