Happy Thanksgiving!! Gobble, Gobble!!!

7th Grade Math: Today in math students began class with the Problem of the Day.  Next, students reviewed the methods of finding the GCF of two or more numbers or monomials.  Students were then introduced to finding equivalent fractions by multiplying or dividing the numerators and denominators by the same number.  Next, students began putting fractions into simplest form by finding the GCF of the numerators and denominators and dividing both by that GCF.  After some teacher led instruction and several example problems, students were assigned the section 4.3 worksheet as homework, to be due Monday in class.

Assignments:  The section 4.3 worksheet is due Monday in class.  Students were also assigned problems from the at home text books, page 775 #2-16 evens, and page 776 #1-19 odds, to be due Monday December 2 in class.

8th Grade Math: Today in math students began class with their flashmasters.  Next, students continued working with properties of addition and multiplication. Today students continued working with the distributive property.   After some teacher led instruction, students attempted several examples together in class, before students were assigned the section 2.2 worksheet, to be due Monday December 2 in class.

Assignments:  The section 2.2 worksheet is due on Monday in class.

Science: Today in science students began class with the Do Now.  Next, students continued working with density.  Todays lab had students calculating the densities of several irregular shaped solids, by measuring their dimensions, finding its mass, and calculating its volume and density.

Assignments:  Students were offered extra credit opportunities, and should be completing the work over break to bring into class on Monday if they would like the credit.
