7th Grade Math: Today in math students began class with the Problem of the Day. Next, students jumped back into probability.  Students were introduced to the idea of using tree diagrams to predict the possible choices of multiple events. Students were then introduced to the concept of the counting principal as a quicker way to calculate the same choices of an event. After some teacher led instruction and several example problems, students were assigned the section 6.8 worksheet to be due Wednesday in class.  Students can expect the chapter 6 test on Thursday of this week.  
   
Assignments:  Study Island Review Homework #14 is due by the end of the day on Wednesday.  The section 6.8 worksheet is due Wednesday in class.           

8th Grade Math: Today in math students began class with their flashmasters.  Next, students were introduced to solving inequalities using addition and/or subtraction.  Students spent some time reviewing the rules of inequalities, before they continued to use the rules associated with dividing and multiplying negative integers. After some teacher led instruction, and several example problems, students were assigned problems from the text book, page 146 #13-21 odds to be due Wednesday in class.   

Assignments:  Review homework #10 is due Wednesday in class. The problems assigned from the text book, page 146 #13-21 odds are due Wednesday in class.        

Science: Today in science students began class with the Do Now.  Next, students applied what they learned yesterday about Newton's First Law of Motion (Law of Inertia) into a lab. Student conducted two different experiments designed to help them put the words of the Law of Inertia into context.  Students should have completed their lab worksheets in class during the lab.      

Assignments:  Students were assigned the section 2 worksheet on the Nature of Force and it is due Wednesday in class.
