8th Grade Math: Today in math students began class with the Problem of the Day.  Students then transitioned into section four of chapter one, on comparing and ordering integers.  Students reviewed what integers are, both positive and negative, as well as how to use number lines to graph a dataset.  After some teacher led instruction and several example problems, dealing with absolute value as well as opposites, students were assigned the section 1.4 worksheet as homework (Evens only, due Tuesday in class).

Assignments:  Review HW #6 is due Wednesday in class.  The section 1.4 worksheet (evens only) is due Tuesday in class.  

7th Grade Math: Today in math students began class with their flashmasters.  Students then transitioned into the text book.  We reviewed whole number operations, before students began working on the prerequisites for chapter one, on page 2 of the text book.  Page 2, #1-16 are due Tuesday in class.      

Assignments:  Review HW #6 is due Wednesday in class.  Page 2 in the textbook, #1-16 are due Tuesday in class. 

Science: Today in science students began class with the Do Now.  Next, students reviewed the four elements of design we learned about on Friday in class, before students began working on an activity designed to help students identify and explain why certain pictures that they choose from magazines represent each of the four elements of design (Contrast, Repetition, Alignment and Proximity).  This activity will be due at the end of class on Friday.    

Assignments:  The C.R.A.P. practice activity we began in class today will be due at the end of class on Friday.
