8th Grade Math: Today in math students began class with the Problem of the Day. Students then graded their homework from the text book, page 41 #1-10. We then reviewed the rules of adding and subtracting integers. Next, we jumped into section 1.7 on multiplying and dividing integers. Students will be constantly reminded about keeping these rules for adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing integers close, as we will be using them for the rest of the year. After some teacher led instruction and several example problems, students were assigned the 1.7 worksheet as homework.
Assignments: Review HW #8 is due Wednesday in class. The section 1.7 worksheet (all on the front, odds on the back) is due Wenesday in class.
7th Grade Math: Today in math students began class with their flashmasters. Students then transitioned into the text book. Students began learning about how write and evaluate variable expressions. After some teacher led instruction and several example problems, students were assigned the section 1.2 worksheet for homework.
Assignments: Review HW #8 is due Wednesday in class. The section 1.2 worksheet is due Wednesday in class.
Science: Students began class with the Do Now. Next, students sat with their local ecology groups, and we went outside to establish their groups one meter square plot in either the Old Growth forest with Mr. Olsen, or in the New Growth forest with Mr. Campbell.
