8th Grade Math: Today in math students began class with the Problem of the Day. Students then graded their homework from the text book, page 32 #14-32 evens. After students had the opportunity to ask clarifying questions, and correct their homework, we jumped back into section five on adding integers. We reviewed the rules of signs for integers, including same signs, different signs and opposites, before we reviewed the new vocabulary introduced yesterday in class. After some teacher led instruction and several example problems, students were assigned the section 1.5 worksheet (all) to be due Thursday in class.
Assignments: Review HW #7 is due Friday in class. The section 1.5 worksheet (all) is due Thursday in class.
7th Grade Math: Today in math students began class with their flashmasters. Students then transitioned into the text book. Students began learning about how to identify and describe different patterns, and how to extend each pattern. After some teacher led instruction, and several example problems, students were assigned the section 1.1 worksheet, which will be due on Thursday in class.
Assignments: Review HW #7 is due Friday in class. The section 1.1 worksheet is due Thursday in class.
Science: We had no science class today as the Taku House is taking the MAPs tests this week. Our next class will be on Friday.
Assignments: The C.R.A.P. practice activity we began in class today will be due at the end of class on Friday.
