8th Grade Math: Today in math students began class with the Problem of the Day. Students then transitioned back into chapter 2. Today, students continued the review process for the upcoming chapter 2 test, scheduled for Tuesday. Students spent the class period reviewing and working on combining like terms and simplifying expressions. We also spent time on solving equations using inverse operations.
Assignments: Review HW #21 is due Wednesday in class.
7th Grade Math: Today in math students began class with their flashmasters. Students were then introduced to the metric system. Today we reviewed the common prefixes used when measuring length, mass and capacity when using the metric system. We then practiced converting between smaller to bigger units and vise versa.
Assignments: Review HW #21 is due Wednesday in class.
Science: Students began class with the Do Now. Next, students reviewed the organelles within a cell. Students were then introduced to the next activity, which will have students drawing a plant or an animal cell. Each drawing will need to include the organelles that each cell contains as well as an explanation about the function of each organelle. Each drawing will also need to include color and the students name.
