8th Grade Math: Today in math students began class with the Problem of the Day. Students were then introduced to chapter 3 and solving two step equations. After reviewing how to simplify expressions and solve one step equations, students began solving the two step equations. After some teacher led instruction and several example problems, students were assigned some problems from the text book, page 805 # 9-17 to be due Tuesday in class.

7th Grade Math: Today in math students began class with their flashmasters. Students then went over the homework from last Friday, the section 3.1 worksheet on mean, median, mode and range of a data set. Students were then introduced to our next activity, the Presidential Averages Activity. Students will be finding the names of all 44 US presidents and their ages at inauguration in order to calculate the mean, median, mode and range of that data set.
Assignments: Students will be given time in class on Tuesday and Wednesday to continue working on the Presidential Average Age Activity.
Science: Students began class with the Do Now. Next, students took the chapter 1 test from the Cells and Heredity textbook.
Students can expect to be outside for science class on Tuesday!
