8th Grade Math: Today in math students began class with the Problem of the Day.  Next, students continued working with multiplying and dividing powers.  Students reviewed the rules for each operation before we completed several example problems together as a group.  Students were then introduced to working with negative and zero exponents.  After some teacher led instruction and several questions and examples, students were assigned some problems out of the book, page 201 #1-10 to be due on Tuesday in class.  

Assignments:  Review HW #37 is due Wednesday in class.  The homework page 201 #1-10 is due Tuesday in class.   

7th Grade Math: Today in math students began class with their flashmasters.  Next, students continued working with mixed numbers, and improper fractions.  Students reviewed how to convert a mixed number into an improper fraction and vise versa.  Students were then introduced to converting fractions and mixed numbers into decimals and vise versa.  After some teacher led instruction and several questions and examples, students were assigned the section 4.7 worksheet (odds) as homework to be due Tuesday in class. 

Assignments:   Review HW #37 is due Friday in class. The section 4.7 worksheet (odds) is due Tuesday in class.     

Science: Students began class with the Do Now.  Next, students jumped back into completing their Bikini Bottom Genetics Projects.  Today was the final work day and it was due by the end of class. 

Assignments:  Students were handed a packet of work to complete related to the world of Bikini Bottom, that will be due Tuesday in class.
