8th Grade Math: Today in math students began class with the Do Now. Students spent today's class period making connections between the three basic ways to transform an image within the coordinate plane. After being introduced to the idea of rotations and how to describe a rotation within the coordinate plane, students were given class time to complete the activities on pages 33-35 of the practice workbook, to be due Tuesday in class.
Assignments: Review Homework #22 is due Wednesday in class. Workbook pages 33-35 are due Tuesday in class.
7th Grade Math: Today in math students began class with the Do Now. Students then jumped into chapter 3. Today students continued working with the relationships between the interior and exterior of polygons. After some teacher led instruction and several examples of working with the algebraic formula used to calculate the measure of an exterior angle, students were assigned page 62 of the practice workbook, to be due Tuesday in class.
Assignments: Review Homework #22 is due Wednesday in class. Page 62 of the practice workbook is due Tuesday in class.
Science: Today in science, students began class with the Do Now. Students then transitioned back into the chemistry textbook. Students spent the class period calculating the density of several objects. Students had to calculate the volume of these shapes, find the mass of each object using a triple beam balance, and then calculate the density based upon their measurements.
Assignments: None.
