8th Grade Math: Today in math students began class with the Do Now. Students then transitioned back into chapter 5. Today students were introduced to solving systems of equations using elimination. After some teacher led instruction and several examples, students were asked to complete Activity 3 in their practice workbooks on pages 110-111 for class on Wednesday.
Assignments: Review HW #49 is due Wednesday in class. Workbook pages 110-111 are due Wednesday in class.
7th Grade Math: Today in math students began class with the Do Now. Next, students continued identifying and comparing linear and nonlinear functions from tables and graphs. After some teacher led instruction and an example or two, students were asked to complete the section 6.5 Practice A worksheet, to be due on Wednesday in class.
Assignments: Review HW #49 is due Wednesday in class. The section 6.5 Practice A worksheet is due Wednesday in class.
Science: Today in science, students began class with the Do Now. Students then transitioned back into the unit on physics. Students were then given all of the remaining class time to continue working on the rough drafts of their Newton's Laws of Motion comic strips. Rough drafts of all three comics and the explanation page describing how they are demonstrating Newton's Law in their comic are due by Friday at the end of class. The final products are due on Friday April 22nd.
Assignments: Rough drafts of all three comics are due on Friday of this week.
