Algebra I: Today in math students began class with a Do Now and a set of warm up problems.  Next, students continued with chapter 8 and quadratic functions.  Students reviewed what the parent function, f(x) = x², looks like on the coordinate plane, before being introduced to the different translations, in the form of g(x) = x² + c,  that may alter what that parent function may look like when graphed.  After some teacher led instruction and several examples, students were assigned some problems from the textbook page 429 #3-5, 7, 9, 10, 14, 27, to be due on Wednesday in class.

Assignments:  Students were assigned some problems from the textbook page 429 #3-5, 7, 9, 10, 14, 27, to be due on Wednesday in class.

7th Grade Math: Today in math students began class with their flashmaster activities. Next, students were reviewed the percent formula, a = p * w.  After some teacher led instruction and several examples, both together and individually, students were asked to complete workbook page 128 for class on Wednesday.

Assignments:   Review HW #43 is due Wednesday in class.   Students were assigned workbook page 128 for class on Wednesday.

Science:  Today in science, students began class with the Do Now.  Students then continued to learn about the cell cycle.  We went through an internet interactive activity, where each phase of the cell cycle was detailed and described with images both hand drawn and actual images of both animal and plant cells from under a microscope.  Students then given class time to complete and section 2.3 worksheet on Cell Division.

Assignments: The section 2.3 worksheet on Cell Division is due on Wednesday in class if students did not complete it during the class time provided.
