Algebra I: Today in math students began class with a Do Now and a set of warm up problems.  Students then jumped right back into chapter 9.  Students reviewed the quadratic formula, practiced a few problems, before being introduced to interpreting the discriminant.  We defined what a discriminant is, how to identify an calculate it, and the rules associated with how to use the discriminant while using the quadratic formula.  After some teacher led instruction with a few example problems thrown in, students were assigned some homework from the textbook, page 521 #15-23 odds; 25; 26; 31-35 odds, to be due on Tuesday in class.
