Algebra I: Today in math students began class with a Do Now and a set of warm up problems.  Students then jumped right back into chapter 9.  Students reviewed the quadratic formula, practiced a few problems, and also reviewed discriminants and how to find them.  Students were then reminded of the five methods of solving quadratic equations that we have learned in chapter 9 (factoring; graphing; using square roots; completing the square; and the quadratic formula), and students were then asked to complete some problems where they chose the best method of solving from that list.  After some teacher led instruction with a few example problems thrown in, students were assigned some homework from the textbook, page 521 & 522 #37-43 odds; 48; 50; 51, to be due on Wednesday in class.

Students can expect the chapter 9 test on Friday.
