Algebra I: Students began class with the Do Now and the Problem of the Day.  Next, we jumped back into chapter 6 and section 4 on exponential growth and decay functions.  We reviewed the growth and decay formulas as well as the Compound Interest formula, before students worked their way through an example problem that had them writing a function from given information and then using that function to graph the situation.  Students were then assigned the section 6.4 Practice A worksheet (odds only) to be due on Thursday in class.

Mr. Olsen will be out of the classroom on Thursday and a substitute will be leading the class. Students had the lab on exponential growth and decay they will be preforming on Thursday in class explained to them today.

Assignments:  Students were assigned the section 6.4 Practice A worksheet (odds only), to be due on Thursday in class.

7th Grade Math: Students began class with the Do Now and the problem of the day.  Next, students jumped back into chapter 5 and working with ratios, rates and unit rates.  Today, students reviewed the coordinate plane.  We then began graphing tables of values (x, y tables) in order to determine if the values were proportional.  After some teacher led instruction and several examples, students were assigned practice workbook pages 93 & 94, to be due on Thursday in class.

Assignments: Review Homework #37 is due on Friday in class.  The practice workbook pages 93 & 94 are due on Thursday in class.

Science:  Students began class with the Do Now, before students were given class time to research a list of scientists who contributed to our modern knowledge of the atom and building an accordion timeline, detailing the contributions of these scientists to the atom.
Assignments:  Students should be coming to class on Friday with their research done so class time on Friday can be spent creating the timelines.
