Algebra I: Today in math students began class with a Do Now and a warm up problem.  Next, students jumped right back into chapter 5, and today we were reviewing the three different methods we have covered so far in chapter 5 for solving systems of equations, through graphing, substitution, and/or elimination.  Students then continued to work with systems of equations that had one solution, many solutions or no solution.  After some teacher led instruction and several examples, students were assigned some homework from the text book, page 257 #1; 2; 3; 6; 8; 9-12; 14; 18; 26, to be due on Friday in class.

Students can expect a quiz on the first four sections of chapter 5 on Friday.

Assignments: Students were assigned some homework from the text book, page 257 #1; 2; 3; 6; 8; 9-12; 14; 18; 26, to be due on Friday in class.

7th Grade Math: Students began class with the Do Now, Flashmasters and/or the Problem of the Day.  Next, students were back in the library and we continued working with computer coding.  Students are working with Mr. Fortier, the librarian, on coding video games on www.code.org/learn and/or working with Lego robotics.

Assignments:  Review Homework #24 is due on Friday in class.

Science:  Students began class with the Do Now.  Next, students were reading to learn about early classification systems of living things, and how we classify organisms in today's world.  After we finished reading section 3 together out loud, students were given the remaining 15 minutes of class to complete the section 1.3 worksheet.

Assignments:  The section 1.3 worksheet is due at the beginning of class on Friday.
