Algebra I: Today in math students began class with a Do Now and a warm up problem where they were creating a bar graph of given data.  Next, students jumped right into chapter 4.  Students were tasked with being able to write a linear equation from several different formats.  After some teacher led instruction and several example problems of how to write an equation from several different perspectives, students were assigned practice workbook pages 99-100 as homework, to be due on Thursday in class.

7th Grade Math: Today in math, students began class with the Do Now, and then working on their Flashmaster activities or the Problem of the Day.  Next, students were introduced to the rules for dividing integers (they are the same as for multiplying integers!).  After some teacher led instruction and several examples, students were asked to complete practice workbook pages 20-22, to be due on Thursday in class.

Students can expect the chapter 1 Test on Friday in class.

Assignments:  Review Homework #17 is due on Friday in class.  Students were asked to complete practice workbook pages 20-22, to be due on Thursday in class.

Science:  Today in science, students were finalizing their Bacteria Wanted poster activity within Mr. Olsen's Google Classroom site, on researching and learning about a specific type of good or bad bacteria. Students chose a specific type of bacteria and spent some  time researching information related to their chosen bacteria.  

Assignments:  This "Wanted" poster assignment is due at the end of the day on Wednesday.

Algebra I: Today in math students began class with a Do Now and a warm up problem where they were creating a circle graph of given data, before students completed the chapter 3 test.


Assignments: Students were assigned practice workbook page 96-97, to be due on Wednesday in class.

7th Grade Math: Today in math, students began class with the Do Now, and then working on their Flashmaster activities or the Problem of the Day.  Next, students were continuing to work with the rules for multiplying integers.  After some teacher led instruction and several examples, students were asked to complete the section 1.4 Practice A worksheet, to be due on Wednesday in class.

Assignments:  Review Homework #16 is due on Wednesday in class.  Students were asked to complete the section 1.4 Practice A worksheet, to be due on Wednesday in class.

7th Grade Math: Today in math, students began class with the Do Now, and then working on their Flashmaster activities or the Problem of the Day.  Next, students were introduced to the rules for multiplying integers.  After some teacher led instruction and several examples, students were asked to complete practice workbook pages 16-18 for class on Tuesday.

Algebra I: Today in math students began class with a Do Now and a set of warm up problems, before students jumped back into chapter 3, section 6.  Today students reviewed translations and reflections of linear equations and continued working with horizontal and vertical stretches and shrinks.  Today, students were describing linear functions with multiple transformations.  After some teacher led instruction and several example problems, students were assigned some homework from the practice workbook page 90-92, to be due on Wednesday in class.

7th Grade Math: Today in math, students began class with the Do Now, and then working on their Flashmaster activities or the Problem of the Day.  Next, students were working on their adding and subtracting integers by participating in a playing card game of "War" with a class mate.  

Assignments:  Review Homework #15 is due on Wednesday in class.

Science:  Today in science, students were finalizing the Google slides activity within Mr. Olsen's Google Classroom site, on researching and learning about different types of good and bad bacteria. Students created a slide show on different types of bacteria and answering several prompting questions related to the assignment on Google classroom.  

Assignments:  This slide show assignment is due at the end of the day on Tuesday.

Algebra I: Today in math students began class with a Do Now and a set of warm up problems, before students jumped back into chapter 3, section 6.  Today students reviewed translations and reflections of linear equations and continued working with horizontal and vertical stretches and shrinks.  Students created a foldable designed to help them identify the type of transformation applied to the parent function.  After some teacher led instruction and several example problems, students were assigned some homework from the practice workbook page 89 and textbook page152 #17-22 to be due on Tuesday in class.

7th Grade Math: Students did not have math class today due to the Princess Sophia Opera field trip for all 7th graders.

Assignments:  Review Homework #14 is due Thursday in class.  The adding and subtracting integers worksheet we began in class on Tuesday is due on Thursday in class.

Science:  Today in science, students got into their Local Ecology Project groups and went outside to their established plots to collect our data needed for the month of October.
