7th Grade Math: Today in math students began class with the problem of the day before transitioning into an introduction to Cornell Notes. Cornell notes are a note-taking strategy that is an effective and meaningful way for students to organize their thoughts about that days topic and ready themselves for an upcoming assessment.
Assignments: None.
8th Grade Math: Today in math students began class with the problem of the day before transitioning into an introduction to Cornell Notes. Cornell notes are a note-taking strategy that is an effective and meaningful way for students to organize their thoughts about that days topic and ready themselves for an upcoming assessment.
Science: Today in science students began with the Do Now. Then students bubble mapped their summer activities.
Assignments: Students are to come to class on Tuesday with their topic selected from their bubble map.
HERE IS A SUPPLY LIST FOR MY STUDENTS IN THE COMING YEAR.
* a 1-2 inch 3 ring binder with dividers for Science
* 1 spiral bound notebook for Math class
* 1 spiral bound notebook for science journal writing
* 1 package of lined paper (wide or college ruled)
* 1 box of kleenex
* Hand Sanitizer
* 1 box of pencils/ 1 box of pens
* Glue sticks
OTHER THINGS WE COULD USE FOR CLASS:
* disinfectant wipes
* Colored pencils and/or Markers
* Extra spiral Notebooks and Binders
* Extra rolls of Scotch Tape
* Correction pens or Whiteout
