8th Grade Math: Today in math students began class with their flashmasters.  Next, students jumped back into chapter 4.  Students began class reviewing the rules for multiplying powers, before we began discussing how to divide powers.  After some teacher led instruction and several examples problems we completed together, we ran out of class time.  Students can expect a quiz on factors and multiples Friday in class.

Assignments:  Review homework #17 will be due on Friday in class.

Science: Today in science students began class with the Do Now.  Next, students got back into their roller coaster groups and completed calculating the average speed of a rolling marble down their roller coaster track. Students used the data for the track length and average times of the marble passing each specified point on their roller coasters to complete the activity and answer several questions.

Assignments:  Students should be completing the Calculating the Average Speed of a Rolling Marble worksheet if they did not complete it in the class time allotted.
