8th Grade Math: Today in math students began class with the Do Now. Some students then continued to progress through the levels of their assigned Flashmasters, while others, who have tested out of Flashmasters began class with the POD. Students were then introduced to solving formulas for a specified component of that formula. After some teacher led instruction and several examples, students attempted to solve three different formulas for a certain part, and then find an actual measurement. Students should be completing exercises D and E on page 16 of their practice workbooks.
Assignments: Review HW #13 is due Wednesday in class. Problems D & E on page 16 of the practice workbook is due Tuesday in class.
7th Grade Math: Today in math students began class with the Do Now. Students then were introduced to chapter 2 and Transformations. We reviewed the coordinate plane and how to use it, and went over several key vocabulary words. Today students were introduced to reflections and frieze patterns. After some teacher led instruction and a few examples students were asked to complete Activity 1 on page 29 of their practice workbooks for class on Tuesday.

Science: Today in science, students began class with the Do Now. Students were then given class time in the library to begin typing up their detailed lab reports for their groups Dry Ice Investigations. The poster project is due Thursday at the end of class.
Assignments: Students can be working on their final detailed lab report. Each student must complete their own lab report before each group can begin typing up the information in order to produce a poster product to display their group's results and conclusions. The final poster will be due on Thursday October 15th.
