8th Grade Math: Today in math students began class with the Do Now. Some students then continued to progress through the levels of their assigned Flashmasters, while others, who have tested out of Flashmasters began class with the POD. Students then continued rewriting formulas. Mr. Olsen led students through several examples before introducing the idea of literal equations, or equations that have two or more variables. Students should be completing problems 4, 5, and 6 on page 28 of their text books.
Assignments: Review HW #13 is due Wednesday in class. Problems 4, 5 and 6 from page 28 of the text book are due Thursday in class.
7th Grade Math: Today in math students began class with the Do Now. Students continued to work with chapter 2 and Transformations. We reviewed the coordinate plane and how to use it, and went over several key vocabulary words. Today students were continued to work with reflections and frieze patterns. After some teacher led instruction and a few examples students were asked to complete page 32 of their practice workbooks for class on Thursday.
Assignments: Review HW #13 is due Wednesday in class. Tonights assignment is page 32 of the practice workbook.
Science: Today in science, students began class with the Do Now. Students were then given one last day of class time to complete and finalize their groups Dry Ice Investigation posters. Posters are due at the beginning of class on Thursday.
Students can expect a Dry Ice Unit test on Wednesday of next week. (October 21st).
Assignments: Students should be finalizing their posters for class on Thursday. Final products are due at the beginning of class.
