8th Grade Math:  Today in math students began class with the Do Now.  Some students then continued to progress through the levels of their assigned Flashmasters, while others, who have tested out of Flashmasters began class with the POD.  Students then continued working with solving equations with variables on both sides of the equal sign.  Today students were continuing to work with solving equations, and we focused on solving multi-step equations together in class.  Students were assigned a worksheet involving multi-step equations as homework (odds only), to be due Thursday in class.

Assignments:  Review HW #12 is due Friday in class.  The worksheet involving multi-step equations is homework (odds only), and is due Thursday in class.

7th Grade Math:  Today in math students began class with the Do Now.  Students then were introduced to chapter 2 and Transformations.  We reviewed the coordinate plane and how to use it, and went over several key vocabulary words.  Today students were introduced to the idea of translations and transformations when working with tessellations.  After some teacher led instruction, and a few activities in class, students were asked to create their own tessellation as homework, to be due Thursday in class.

Assignments:  Review HW #12 is due Friday in class.  Students should be bringing their own tessellation into class on Thursday.  

Science:  Today in science, students began class with the Do Now.  Students then took the class period to conduct their reworked investigations.  Students began class by producing detailed materials and procedures lists, before working with their partners to conduct their experiments.  Students should be completing their lab reports detailing the results from todays experiments.  

Assignments:  Students should be bringing in their completed lab report from todays experiments to class on Thursday.
