Algebra I: Today in math students began class with a Do Now and a set of warm up problems, before students graded their homework from page 1 of the textbook.  We then jumped right into chapter 1 on solving equations using addition and subtraction.  After some teacher led instruction and review, students were assigned some homework problems from the textbook, page 4 # 1-20, to be due Tuesday in class.

Assignments: Page 4 from the textbook # 1-20 are due Tuesday in class.

7th Grade Math: Today in math students began class with their flashmaster activities.  We then began working with the textbooks.  While we began working on a textbook scavenger hunt, our first fire drill of the year occurred.  When the fire drill ended, we came back to class and continued working with the scavenger hunt.  We will finish the scavenger hunt in class on Tuesday.

Assignments: Review Homework #1 is due Wednesday in class.

Science:  Today in science students began class with the Do Now.  Students were then reminded of the expectations regarding the Scientific Summer project we began last week.  Once all students had paragraph one done for the project, students paired up and preformed a peer review of their partners paragraph.  Students were then given the remaining time in class to continue working on their second "scientific" paragraph for their projects.

Assignments: Students need to be coming to class on Tuesday with rough drafts of both paragraphs for the Scientific Summer project.

  1. Hey Mr. Olsen it's Forrest I'm looking at the textbook and i don't see twenty problems on page four, I'm wondering if you meant the journal.
