Algebra I: Today in math students began class with a Do Now and a set of warm up problems, before students jumped into chapter 4 and section 4.  Students began by reviewing how to write an equation from a given set of data points as well as a line on a graph.  Next, students were given class time to begin working on the workbook activities for section 4 on scatter plots and identifying correlations in data sets.  Workbook pages 111-113 are due on Tuesday in class.

7th Grade Math: Students began class with a Do Now and several Flashmaster activities, before students transitioned into chapter 3.  Students reviewed the difference between an expression and an equation.  Next, we reviewed our knowledge of an expressions and how to identify like terms and how to identify a coefficient and a constant term, as well as how to combine like terms.  Students were then introduced to adding and subtracting expressions by applying properties of operations.  After some teacher led instruction and a few examples, we ran out of class time.

Assignments: Review Homework #23 is due on Wednesday in class. 

Science:  Students began class with the Do Now.  Next, students began working with the Chemical Building Blocks textbook.  Students participated in a Think, Write Pair Share activity in class by sharing their ideas about petro vs. agro chemicals with a partner.
