Algebra I: Today in math students began class with a Do Now and a set of warm up problems, before students jumped into chapter 4 and section 6.  Students began by reviewing how to write an equation from a given set of data points as well as a line on a graph.  Next, students jumped into identifying and writing arithmetic sequences. After some teacher led instruction and several example problems, students were assigned some problems from the text book, pages 214-215 #1, 2, 3-25 odds & 16, 26,38 to be due on Tuesday in class.

7th Grade Math: Students began class with a Do Now and several Flashmaster activities, before students transitioned into chapter 3.  Students reviewed the difference between an expression and an equation.  Next, we reviewed our knowledge of finding GCFs and factor trees and prime factorization.  After completing some in class work, students began working with The Sieve of Eratosthenes, where students are identifying the prime numbers between 1 and 100. 

Assignments: Review Homework #24 is due on Wednesday in class.

Science:  Students began class with the Do Now.  Next, students were reading to learn about Describing Matter.  Students began by defining several new vocabulary words, before we read chapter 1 section 1 on Describing Matter together as a class in the Chemical Building Blocks textbook.

Assignments:  None.
