Algebra I: Today in math students began class with a Do Now and a set of warm up problems, before students jumped into chapter 4 and section 3, where students were learning about how to identify parallel lines and write equations of parallel lines.  After some teacher led instruction and several example problems, students were assigned homework from the text book, page 191 #1-12 to be due on Thursday in class.

7th Grade Math: Students began class with a Do Now and several Flashmaster activities, before students transitioned into chapter 3.  Students reviewed the difference between an expression and an equation.  Next, we continued learning about terms of an expression (or an equation), including identifying like terms and how to identify a coefficient and a constant term, as well as how to combine like terms.  After some teacher led instruction and several example problems, where we worked together to identify the parts of an expression, students were assigned six problems to complete for class on Thursday.

Assignments: Review Homework #22 is due on Friday in class. Students were assigned six problems to complete for class on Thursday.

Science:  Students began class with the Do Now.  Next, students spent some class time quizzing each other on the 30 vocab words they are in the process of memorizing.  Students then participated in a review activity in table groups to help them prepare for the test tomorrow in class.

The Vocabulary quiz on these 30 words will be on Thursday of this week.

Assignments:  Students should be studying for the vocab test on Thursday in class.
