Algebra I: Today in math students began class with a Do Now and a set of warm up problems, before students jumped into chapter 5.  Students were introduced to solving systems of linear equations through graphing.  The intersection point of the two lines graphed on the same coordinate plane is the solution to the system.  After some teacher led instruction and several examples, students were assigned some homework from the text book, page 239 #3; 4; 6; 8; 10; 18; 28, to be due on Tuesday in class.

Assignments:  Students were assigned some homework from the text book, page 239 #3; 4; 6; 8; 10; 18; 28, to be due on Tuesday in class.

7th Grade Math: Students began class with a Do Now and several Flashmaster activities, before students transitioned into chapter 3. Next, we reviewed our knowledge of finding GCFs and factor trees and prime factorization.  Students then were factoring fractions, decimals and negative factors out of a given expression.  After some teacher led instruction and several example problems, students were assigned practice workbook pages 51 & 52, to be due on Tuesday in class.

Assignments: Review Homework #26 is due on Wednesday in class.  Students were assigned practice workbook pages 51 & 52, to be due on Tuesday in class.

Science:  Students began class with the Do Now.  Next, students transitioned into lab where they were calculating the amount of work they accomplished while "working out."  Students worked with a partner to make their way through the data sheet and completing the calculations for finding the amount of work they did while performing curls with light weights.

Assignments:  None.
