Algebra I: Today in math students began class with a Do Now and a set of warm up problems, before students jumped into chapter 5.  Students reviewed solving systems of linear equations through graphing.  They were then introduced to solving systems through a process called substitution.  After some teacher led instruction and several examples, students were assigned the section 5.2 Practice A worksheet as homework, to be due on Wednesday in class.

Assignments:  Students were assigned the section 5.2 Practice A worksheet, to be due on Wednesday in class.

7th Grade Math: Students began class with a Do Now and several Flashmaster activities, before students transitioned back into chapter 3. Next, we reviewed our knowledge of identifying terms, like terms, coefficients, and constants.  Next, we began talking about solving equations using addition and subtraction.

Assignments: Review Homework #26 is due on Wednesday in class.  Students were assigned practice worksheet (section 7.2) on identifying terms and combining expressions, to be due on Wednesday in class.

Science:  Students began class with the Do Now.  Next, students revisited our lab from Monday's class on calculating "work."  Next, we began talking about simple machines.  We defined a simple machine and talked about how simple machines aid humans in accomplishing work.
