Algebra I: Today in math students began class with a Do Now and a warm up problem.  Next, students were working with chapter 6 and reviewing the rules of and use of exponents.  Today, students were finding nth roots as well as evaluating expressions with rational exponents.  After some teacher led instruction and several example problems, students were assigned some homework from the textbook, page 303-304 #1; 8-12; 16-34; 35; 40, to be due on Wednesday in class.

7th Grade Math: Students began class with the Do Now, Flashmasters and/or the Problem of the Day.  Next, students were back in chapter 2.  Today, students were reviewing their knowledge in preparation for the chapter 2 test scheduled for Thursday of this week.

Assignments:  Review Homework #30 is due on Wednesday in class. 

Science:  Students began class with the Do Now and answering a few questions related to microscopes.  Next, students were exploring a compound microscope and identifying, naming and explaining what each part of a compound microscope is and what it is used for.  Today students were cutting and pasting (and identifying) the functions of a compound microscope.  

Assignments:  If students did not finish the cutting and pasting activity began in class, then it is due on Wednesday in class.
