8th Grade Math: Today in math students were introduced to the concepts of theoretical and experimental probabilities. Mr. Olsen reviewed the key vocabulary and led students through several examples before handing out the section 6.7 worksheet and offered students 25 minutes of class time to complete the assignment.

Assignments: Review Homework #23 is due Friday. Section 6.7 worksheet is due tomorrow (Thursday).

7th Grade Math: Today in math students continued working on their birdhouse designs. Students finished up their nets of the actual sizes and shapes needed to transfer the measurements over to the 1x6x8 foot boards. Several student groups began the cutting process today. All other groups should be ready to cut their boards tomorrow.

Assignments: Review Homework #24 is due Friday.

Science: Today in science students were introduced to the Stabilization Wedges Game. This game hopes to bring the carbon emission problem facing our world today to the forefront of our societies focus. Students are broken in groups of four, and in their groups they will read about and discuss and then choose seven of the fifteen strategies presented to them about ways to reduce carbon emissions.

Assignments: None.
