8th Grade Math: Today in
math students began class with the problem of the day. Next, students
enjoyed PI day! Students were introduced (or reintroduced) to the idea of the circumference of a circle and the diameter of a circle. PI is the relationship or ratio of the circumference and the diameter of any circle. Students participated in an activity where they measured several circular objects and calculated the resulting relationships.
Assignments: The PI worksheet is due Thursday. Students are also to be working on their chapter 5 test corrections, due by Friday.
7th Grade Math: Today in math students
began class by using their flashmasters. Next, students

Today in science, students began class with the Do Now. Next, students began viewing a film on the universe. Students were filling out a video worksheet as they watched.

FYI: Parents! Starting on Monday (10/31,
the first day of the second quarter), teachers in the Aurora house will
no longer accept late work from our students. Students will get credit
for the work they do, when it is due.
