8th Grade Math: Today in
pre-algebra, students began class with the POD. We then transitioned
back into chapter 10 and continued working with calculating the volume of prisms
and cylinders. Today students were given two examples of cylinders and
asked to calculate the volume of each. After a bit of instruction and those previous examples, students were given about 20 minutes of class time to complete the 10.7 worksheet.
Assignments: Review homework #20 is due on Wednesday. Students should be completing the 10.7 worksheet if they did not finish in the class time provided.
7th Grade Math: Today in math, students began class with their flashmasters. Next, students continued the review process for the upcoming chapter test. The chapter 6 test will be Wednesday of this week.

Science: Today in science, students began class with the Do Now. Next, we continued having our groups present their powerpoint presentations on their assigned planet.
Assignments: Students should be practicing their powerpoint presentations.

FYI: Parents! Starting on Monday (10/31, the first day of the second quarter), teachers in the Aurora house will no longer accept late work from our students. Students will get credit for the work they do, when it is due.
