8th Grade Math: Today in
math students began class with the problem of the day. Next, students
began reviewing for the SBA tests. Today's activity had students
reviewing classification of triangles based on angle measures and side lengths.
Assignments: Review
Homework #17 is due Thursday.
7th Grade Math: Today in math students
began class by using their flashmasters. Next, students jumped back
into subtracting integers. After some review of the rules associated adding integers with
the same signs, different signs, and opposites, students practiced a few
example problems. Students were then assigned the 6.3 worksheet and
given 20 minutes of class time to complete the assignment.
Assignments:
Review Homework #17 is due Thursday. Students should be completing the
6.3 worksheet if they did not finish in the class time provided.
Science:
Today in science, students began class with the Do Now. Next, students
the review process for the upcoming Science SBA. On Wednesday of this week, 8th graders with be taking the science SBA. The 7th graders will be spending their morning with their language arts teachers.
Assignments: None.
FYI: Parents! Starting on Monday (10/31,
the first day of the second quarter), teachers in the Aurora house will
no longer accept late work from our students. Students will get credit
for the work they do, when it is due.
