7th Grade Math: Today in math students began class with the Problem of the Day.  Next, students jumped right into chapter 3.  We began class by reviewing the rules of solving two step equations we learned about yesterday, before we completed the notes of solving equations with negative coefficients.  Students were assigned the section 3.1 worksheet as homework to be due Wednesday in class.  Students ended class with a pop quiz on simplifying expressions.    

Assignments:  Students were assigned the section 3.1 worksheet to be due Wednesday in class.  Review Homework #14 is due Wednesday in class.

8th Grade Math: Today in math students began class with the problem of the day.  Next, students jumped back into chapter one.  Today students reviewed the rules associated with adding integers with the same signs, and different signs, as well as adding opposites.  After some teacher led instruction and several example problems, students were assigned the section 1.5 worksheet (odds only) to be due Wednesday in class.  

Assignments:  Students were assigned the section 1.5 worksheet (odds only) to be due Wednesday in class.  Review Homework #14 is due Wednesday in class. 

Science: Today in science students began class with the Do Now.  Next, students participated in a discussion on the question of "Is the earth's climate changing?"  We talked about how we could answer that question, and how we could defend our hypothesis with facts or documentation.  This led us into a discussion on the film "Chasing Ice".  Students will be viewing the documentary on Wednesday and Thursday of this week.
