7th Grade Math: Today in math students began class with the Problem of the Day.  Next, students reviewed the rules of dividing fractions and mixed numbers, before we began talking about using the multiplicative inverse to solve equations involving fractions.  After some teacher led instruction, and several example problems, students were assigned the section 5.6 worksheet for homework, due Monday in class.  

Students will be taking the MAPS math test in class on Friday of this week.        

Assignments:  Review Homework #5 is due by Friday in class on the Study Island website.  The section 5.6 worksheet on using the multiplicative inverse to solve equations is due Monday in class.    

8th Grade Math: Today in math students began class with their flashmasters.  Today students reviewed the process of solving one step equations.  Students then began learning and talking about solving two step equations.  We solved several examples of two step equations together, and students were assigned some homework problems from the text book, page 123 #8-16 Evens, to be due Monday in class.  

Students will be taking the MAPs math test in class on Friday of this week.   

Assignments:  Review Homework #4 is due Friday in class.  

Science: Today in science students began class with the Do Now.  Next, students continued researching their assigned element from the periodic table.  Students have been assigned an element to research, and we will spend the rest of this week's class time completing that research.  

Assignments:  Students should be completing the entirety of their research worksheet for their assigned element for class on Friday.
