7th Grade Math: Today in math students began class with the Problem of the Day.  Next, students reviewed the the use of multiplicative inverses, before students were introduced to solving equations and inequalities by using the LCD.  After some teacher led instruction, and several example problems addressing several student questions, students were assigned the section 5.7 worksheet as homework, to be due Wednesday in class. 

Students can expect the chapter 5 test on Thursday of this week.         

Assignments:  Review Homework #6 is due by Wednesday in class on the Study Island website.  The section 5.7 worksheet is due Wednesday in class.      

8th Grade Math: Today in math students began class with their flashmasters.  Today students reviewed the process of solving one step equations.  Students then continued correcting the errors they made on their chapter 2 tests. 

Assignments:  Review Homework #5 is due Wednesday in class.  

Science: Today in science students began class with the Do Now.  Next, students were introduced to the Selling the Elements Advertisement Project.  Students got the low down on expectations, and the scoring guide to help them understand what they can do to meet their teachers expectations.  Students were then given the remaining time in class to get started on their rough drafts of their element ads.  

Assignments:  Students can be working on their rough drafts of their element ads.  The due date of the Selling the Elements project is the beginning of class on Monday February 3rd.
