7th Grade Math: Today in math students began class with the Problem of the Day.  Next, students reviewed multiplying fractions and mixed numbers, before we began talking about dividing fractions and the use of reciprocals.  After some teacher led instruction, and several example problems, students were assigned the section 5.5 worksheet for homework, due Thursday in class.  

Students will be taking the MAPS math test in class on Friday of this week.        

Assignments:  Review Homework #5 is due by Friday in class on the Study Island website.  The section 5.5 worksheet on dividing fractions is due Thursday in class.    

8th Grade Math: Today in math students began class with their flashmasters.  Today students reviewed the process of solving one step equations.  We practiced several examples together in class, before students were asked to solve four problems on their own as an exit ticket from the classroom.  

Assignments:  Review Homework #4 is due Friday in class.  

Science: Today in science students began class with the Do Now.  Next, students continued researching their assigned element from the periodic table.  Students have been assigned an element to research, and we will spend the rest of this week's class time completing that research.  

Assignments:  Students should be completing the front side of their research worksheet for their assigned element for class on Thursday.
