8th Grade Math: Today in math students began class with the Problem of the Day.  Students then transitioned into chapter 2.  We continued talking about the commutative, associative and identity properties of addition and multiplication.  Students defined the six properties in words, and we began working on identifying each property in action.  Students also learned about the additive identity (0), and the multiplicative identity (1) and how to identify each in a math problem.  After some teacher led instruction and a few examples, students were assigned some homework problems out of the text book, page 66 #16-23 and page 804 #1-8, to be due Wednesday in class.
