Algebra I: Today in math students began class with a Do Now and a set of warm up problems.  Next, students jumped into chapter 4.  After some quick review of taking the slope of a line and the y intercept and writing an equation in slope intercept form, students began working with point slope form.  Students were given some time in class to work through some explorations regarding how to convert the slope formula into point slope form. Students were struggling with the concept, which led to a deeper class discussion of how that process might happen.  Students were asked to complete a description of how to write an equation when given the slope and a point on that line (or the y intercept).

Assignments:   Students were asked to complete a writing prompt, to be handed in on Thursday in class.

7th Grade Math: Today in math students began class with their flashmaster activities. Students then continued solving equations using inverse operations.  Today students reviewed how to solve equations involving addition and subtraction.  Student then continued solving equations using multiplication and division (and addition and subtraction).  After some teacher led instruction and several example problems, students were assigned some work from the text book, page 106 #3-27, to be due Thursday in class.

Assignments:  Review Homework #21 is due on Friday in class.  The textbook page 106 #3-27 are due Thursday in class.

Science:  Today during science time students were given time to work with their assigned partners on the "Day in the Life" project.

Assignments: None
